We’re currently partnering with a highly respected, technology-driven organisation undergoing significant digital transformation. They’re looking to bring in an experienced Senior Automation Tester to join their growing digital delivery capability.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale, enterprise platforms using modern cloud technologies, agile delivery, and emerging tools including AI and machine learning. The Opportunity

As a Senior Automation Tester, you’ll join a cross-functional agile squad responsible for delivering high-quality digital services. You’ll play a key role in shaping automation strategy, building robust frameworks, and ensuring best-in-class testing practices across the delivery lifecycle.

You’ll take ownership of testing within your team, working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure full test coverage and seamless deployments.

There are multiple positions available, including one with a stronger emphasis on application testing following infrastructure changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated UI and API test suites aligned to acceptance criteria
  • Develop scalable, reusable automation frameworks from the ground up
  • Support CI/CD pipelines by embedding robust automated testing practices
  • Collaborate closely with developers to align on code quality and unit test coverage
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve defects, risks, and system issues
  • Contribute to technical decisions, standards, and overall testing strategy
  • Ensure delivery of user-focused, high-quality digital services within an agile team
  • Implement tools and frameworks to support performance, security, and scalability
  • Continuously improve testing processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

  • Proven background delivering technical testing solutions in complex environments
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery models
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD practices
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or similar)

Technical Skills:

  • Strong automation experience, particularly with Playwright
  • Experience testing both UI and API layers

Working Arrangements

  • Hybrid working model with some on-site presence required (20% of your working days in-office)
  • UK-based applicants only (must have right to work in the UK and be SC-clearable)
