Infrastructure Analyst (3rd Line)
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation seeking an experienced and hands-on 3rd Line Infrastructure Analyst.
**This role is based Mon-Fri on-site in the Wokingham area.**
The primary focus of this role is the technical execution of a major infrastructure modernisation project. We are looking for an expert to implement two key workstreams:
- Windows Server Modernisation: A large-scale project to migrate and upgrade the server estate from 2008/2012/2016 to 2022.
- SCCM Rollout: A new SCCM deployment and configuration.

The Core Technical Responsibilities
- Taking a hands-on lead in the execution of Windows Server upgrades.
- Hands-on deployment and configuration of SCCM for server and client management.
- Providing 3rd line support, maintenance, and performance monitoring for the core VMware ESX & vSphere environment.
- Acting as the final technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
- Supporting and maintaining core services including Active Directory, Group Policy, and MS365.
- Assisting in the technical transition of new systems into operational use, including creating documentation.
Key Skills & Experience
This role requires a proactive and motivated individual with a proven technical background.
Essential "Must-Have" Skills:
- Windows Server: Deep, demonstrable experience with Windows Server (2008/2012/2016/2022), specifically executing large-scale upgrade and migration projects.
- SCCM: Strong hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and managing SCCM.
- VMware: Proven ability to support, maintain, and monitor a VMware ESX & vSphere virtualised infrastructure.
- Core Infrastructure: Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and general MS365 administration.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in a 3rd line IT support, analyst, or service delivery role.
Desirable "Nice-to-Have" Skills:
- Experience with Cisco networking (Switches, Routers, ASAs).
- Knowledge of Azure VDI, SharePoint, or SQL Server.
- Experience with backup solutions like Rubrik.
- Industry certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Cisco).
