Endpoint Engineer

Robert Half Technology are assisting a market leading financial services organisation to recruit a Endpoint Engineer on a contract basis - Fully remote - UK based

The Endpoint Engineer will take ownership of our endpoint ecosystem and drive improvements in device management, security, and automation. You'll be the go-to expert for managing and engineering endpoint solutions across a primarily Mac- and Google-based environment, ensuring our people have a seamless and secure technology experience.

Role

• Endpoint Administration: Manage and maintain endpoint systems including JAMF, SCCM, and Google Workspace, ensuring devices are updated, secure, and compliant.
• Engineering & Automation: Develop workflows, scripts, and integrations (primarily using Python) to automate routine tasks, improve efficiency, and add value across the business.
• Device Management: Lead the modernisation of our Mac environment, including rolling out updates and enforcing security standards.
• Workspace Management: Bring structure and governance to a largely unmanaged Google Workspace environment, implementing policies and best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Security, and wider business stakeholders to align endpoint strategies with business needs.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance endpoint systems and user experience.

Profile

• The Endpoint Engineer will have proven experience in endpoint administration with strong skills in JAMF and Google Workspace.
• Comfortable working in a Mac-first environment, with additional exposure to SCCM and Windows endpoints a plus.
• Solid understanding of endpoint security and compliance standards.
• Strong technical awareness with the ability to script and automate using Python (or similar).
• Experience modernising outdated environments and implementing structured governance.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
