The Role

They’re looking for a Finance Director to lead the financial strategy and operations of the company as they scale internationally.

Reporting directly to the Founders and working closely with the senior leadership team, you will take full ownership of the company’s financial health—from day-to-day financial operations through to strategic planning and commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and own the company’s financial strategy, planning, reporting, and governance
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support strategic decisions
• Oversee all accounting operations including payroll, VAT, invoicing, and financial controls
• Produce monthly management accounts, board reports, and year-end financial statements
• Build and maintain scalable financial systems, processes, and reporting frameworks
• Provide commercial insight through financial modelling, pricing analysis, and performance tracking
• Support international expansion by assessing tax, regulatory, and financial structures
• Partner with leadership teams to improve financial awareness and operational efficiency
• Identify and implement improvements in financial systems, automation, and reporting

Essential Requirements

• Proven senior finance leadership experience in SaaS, technology, or high-growth environments
• Strong expertise across financial operations, reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Ability to influence strategic decisions through financial analysis and insight
• Experience working closely with founders or senior leadership in scaling businesses
• Strong knowledge of UK financial regulations, VAT, payroll, and statutory reporting
• Confident communicator at board level, able to present financial performance clearly

Desirable Requirements

• Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
• Experience supporting international expansion and cross-border financial structures
• Background in construction, infrastructure, SaaS, or technology businesses
• Experience scaling financial systems and controls in high-growth companies
• Understanding of hybrid hardware/software or asset-backed business models
• Exposure to corporate finance activities (M&A, fundraising, or debt financing)
