We'e partnered with a global healthcare & life sciences group undergoing significant growth and transformation.

They're investing heavily in their HR technology and data stack and are now hiring an HR Master Data Manager to own and elevate their global HR data landscape.

The Role:

As HR Master Data Manager, you'll be the go-to expert for all things HR master data, ensuring Workday is the single source of truth for workforce data across a complex, international business.

You'll sit at the intersection of HR, Technology, Finance and the wider business, shaping data strategy, improving data quality, and enabling meaningful workforce analytics that senior leaders can rely on.

This is a role with real visibility and impact: you'll be driving data standards that directly influence employee experience, compliance, and executive decision-making.

What you'll be doing

Data governance & quality

  • Define and enforce HR data governance standards, policies and controls
  • Own the accuracy, completeness and consistency of global HR master data
  • Run regular data audits, cleansing and validation routines
  • Ensure alignment between Workday and downstream systems (Payroll, Finance, IT, etc.)

Workday HRIS leadership

  • Act as SME for Workday HCM Core, org structures, security roles, job profiles and position management
  • Partner with HR Ops, Talent, Reward and Payroll to streamline data-driven processes
  • Lead Workday data-related releases, testing and change management
  • Support data migrations and integrations during upgrades, acquisitions and reorganisations

Compliance, risk & security

  • Ensure HR data complies with GDPR and other relevant global/regional regulations
  • Maintain robust access controls, security groups and audit trails
  • Investigate data exceptions and errors, driving root-cause fixes and sustainable improvements

Projects, stakeholders & analytics

  • Contribute to HR technology and transformation projects (new modules, restructures, M&A)
  • Collaborate closely with IT, Finance and HR leadership to align data design with business goals
  • Provide guidance, training and best practice support to HR teams globally
  • Deliver HR data insights and dashboards that support strategic workforce planning and leadership reporting

Experience Required:

  • Solid experience in HRIS / HR data management (ideally 5+ years) with strong Workday expertise
  • Proven background in HR data governance, compliance and reporting
  • Experience designing and running master data management processes in a global organisation
  • Strong understanding of HR processes across the full employee lifecycle (hire-to-retire)
  • Advanced Workday reporting skills (e.g. BIRT, Calculated Fields; Workday Prism a plus)
  • Confident stakeholder manager with clear communication and influencing skills
  • Analytical, detail-driven mindset with a track record of solving complex data problems
  • Experience in leading or contributing to HR tech / data projects (PMP, Prince2 or Agile a plus)
