The role will focus on transforming a monolithic application's MongoDB instance into a microservices-oriented architecture within MongoDB Atlas, ensuring the design, migration, and implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performing data solutions.

The role will focus on transforming a monolithic application's MongoDB instance into a microservices-oriented architecture within MongoDB Atlas, ensuring the design, migration, and implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performing data solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of MongoDB solutions for microservices architectures
- Develop and execute migration strategies from monolithic systems to MongoDB Atlas
- Define and implement data ownership models, indexing, replication, and sharding strategies
- Drive performance tuning, scalability, and security best practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data solutions align with architectural principles
- Proven expertise in MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas (provisioning, optimisation, automation)
- Strong background in data modelling, indexing, sharding, and replication
- Experience designing microservices-based data architectures
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
- Experience implementing MongoDB security and governance best practices
- Comfortable working in agile, fast-paced environments
