We are supporting a consultancy delivering a large-scale data modernisation programme and are looking for a MongoDB Engineer to join the team.

The role will focus on implementing, migrating, and optimising MongoDB solutions as part of a broader move from a monolithic architecture to a microservices-based design within MongoDB Atlas.

Key responsibilities:
  • Deliver hands-on MongoDB engineering, configuration, and optimisation
  • Support data migration activities and ensure data integrity across microservices
  • Implement indexing, replication, and sharding strategies
  • Collaborate with architects and developers to translate data designs into working solutions
  • Monitor and tune performance within MongoDB Atlas
  • Contribute to automation, documentation, and continuous improvement activities
Experience required:
  • Strong experience with MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas environments
  • Proven track record delivering data migrations and optimisations
  • Knowledge of data modelling, indexing, and replication
  • Familiarity with microservices architectures and distributed systems
  • Understanding of performance monitoring and security configuration
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments
This is a hands-on engineering role offering the opportunity to contribute to a high-profile migration to MongoDB Atlas within a modern microservices architecture.
