4.5 days a week The project
Our client, a digital consultancy with a long track record in UK government, is building a new shared intranet for two large national public sector organisations. The project merges content from their two current intranets into a single site with a new information architecture.
The role
You'll design the new intranet, creating a site that's easy to navigate and consistent with public sector design standards.
- Design page templates, layouts and components for the new site
- Apply and adapt the GOV.UK and NHS design systems
- Turn the new information architecture into clear navigation and page designs, working with user research and content design
- Build prototypes to test with users, and iterate on what you learn
- Design for accessibility, meeting WCAG 2.2 AA
- Work with developers so designs are built as intended
What you'll bring
- A track record designing content-led websites, not only interactive services or apps
- Working knowledge of the GOV.UK Design System and the NHS design system
- UK government digital project experience
- Prototyping skills, for example in Figma or the GOV.UK Prototype Kit
- Designing accessible sites to WCAG 2.2 AA
Nice to have
- WordPress experience
- Intranet or content-heavy website projects
- Designing navigation for large sites
- Health or wider public sector experience
