Python Developer,SC, Javascript London Manchester or Bris 650 - 675
Our high profile public sector Client is looking for a Python developer with strong hands on python skills. A mix of private and public sector experience is ideal.
Due to the immediate start you will need to hold current active SC Clearance or lapsed SC Cleared
This individual needs to be a confident senior individual who would be involved in decisions and experiment with ideas, they should be comfortable leading discussions and owning work end-to-end
Programming and build: Strong Python coding ability and experience collaborating with others to develop, deploy and improve containerised, cloud-based applications.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Modern development standards: Experience applying modern software development principles and supporting web application technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes. Experience using GitHub for version control and effective development documentation.
User focus: Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users and explain complex technical concepts clearly and accessibly.
Service support: Experience identifying, locating and resolving service faults.
Systems design: Experience designing systems of moderate risk, impact and complexity; selecting appropriate standards, methods and tools; and reviewing designs to support effective integration and efficient use of resources.
Systems integration: Experience defining integration builds, coordinating build activity across systems, and undertaking or supporting integration testing.
Information security: Understanding of common web security risks, including the OWASP Top 10, and appropriate mitigations.
Development process optimisation: Ability to identify opportunities to improve development processes and contribute to implementing practical solutions.
Candidates should demonstrate in their CV skills/knowledge of the following
a. Python, including django and ninja
b. Front End - JavaScript, HTML, CCS
c. Familiarity with AWS
d. GitHub and GitHub actions
e. Claude code use
f. Working across disciplines, the successful applicant will be working with other developers, designers, product and research colleagues
