SAP SD Consultant - Automotive

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP SD Consultant - Automotive to lead the design, implementation and support of SAP Sales and Distribution solutions for a global automotive manufacturer.

The role focuses on Automotive Aftermarket and Aftersales processes, including service parts management, warranty processes, dealer operations, returns management and order fulfilment.

The ideal candidate will have strong SAP SD functional expertise combined with hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing and aftermarket business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements across automotive aftersales, service and spare parts operations.

• Design, configure and implement SAP SD solutions supporting automotive aftermarket and service parts distribution.

• Manage sales order processing, delivery management, billing, returns and order fulfilment processes.

• Support warranty-related processes, dealer operations and automotive spare parts management.

• Integrate SAP SD processes with SAP MM, EWM, TM and Finance modules.

• Conduct fit-gap analysis, business workshops and define future-state business processes.

• Prepare functional specifications, solution designs and process documentation.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, dealers, suppliers and logistics teams to improve aftermarket operations.

• Support SIT, UAT, go-live and hypercare activities.

• Provide production support, resolve functional issues and drive continuous process improvements.

• Support SAP S/4HANA implementation and automotive transformation initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of SAP consulting experience, primarily in SAP SD.

• Strong experience in Automotive Aftermarket or Aftersales business processes.

• Good understanding of automotive service parts management, spare parts distribution and dealer operations.

• Hands-on experience in SAP SD configuration and functional design.

• Experience with sales order management, delivery processing, billing, returns and warranty-related processes.

• Experience integrating SAP SD with SAP MM, EWM and Finance.

• Working experience with SAP S/4HANA, preferably in automotive manufacturing environments.

• Experience conducting fit-gap analysis, requirement gathering and functional workshops.

• Strong experience in functional specifications, testing, SIT and UAT.

• Experience supporting global SAP rollouts, implementations and production environments.

• Ability to independently manage functional deliverables and stakeholder expectations.

• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
