Account Representative

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Account Representative Intern to join our client success team for the next 3 months . This unpaid internship is ideal for a current college or university student eager to gain real-world, hands-on experience in client relations, communication, and sales operations.

The internship provides an educational experience in managing customer accounts, handling recurrent communications and sales activities, and supporting quality customer service. The focus of this internship is on learning and skill development rather than replacing regular employees. The intern will gain valuable insights into client relationship management and have the opportunity to build skills that will enhance their future career prospects. This internship may lead to a potential hiring offer depending on performance and business needs.

Note : This is an unpaid internship designed to offer academic or practical experience for students. This role is intended to complement the intern's educational studies, with flexible hours to fit around their academic schedule.

Duration: 3-month program (10-15 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the account management team with client onboarding and account setup , with supervision and guidance.
  • Conduct basic market research to identify opportunities for growth, under the direction of the account team.
  • Distribute marketing materials through both in-person channels and online platforms.
  • Communicate with potential clients via email or LinkedIn , following up on requests, sharing updates, or gathering feedback.
  • Maintain and update client information in a CRM system .
  • Assist with preparing proposals, presentations, and reports for clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, and operations) to ensure excellent service delivery.

Learning Opportunities :

  • Interns will not be replacing regular employees but will work in a learning capacity with close supervision and guidance.
  • The intern will receive regular mentorship and feedback from experienced professionals in the sales and account management departments.
  • Interns will gain valuable skills in CRM systems , sales strategies , and client success tactics .

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications , or a related field (BA, MA, or PhD level).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and interest in client relations or sales .
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment .
