Senior Technical Architect

Ready to shape cloud and infrastructure solutions that really matter?

We're looking for an experienced Senior Cloud / Infrastructure Architect to take a leading role in designing and assuring complex Azure, End User Compute and hybrid infrastructure solutions.

This is a senior, influential position where you'll have the opportunity to own architecture decisions, lead cloud transformation and migration programmes, and work directly with senior customers and technical teams. You'll help turn complex business requirements into secure, resilient and supportable solutions across demanding public sector and Defence environments.

This role is remote. Occasional travel to an office.
You do need to be eligible for SC and DV Clearance.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the architecture of Azure, cloud, EUC and hybrid infrastructure solutions, from initial concept through to delivery.
• Take ownership of solution architecture across complex projects and programmes.
• Shape cloud migration strategies and design new Azure-based capabilities.
• Translate business and technical requirements into robust, scalable architectures.
• Provide design assurance, governance and technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Work closely with customers, senior stakeholders, engineers, delivery teams, partners and subcontractors.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements around security, resilience, networking, identity, disaster recovery and operational support.
• Identify architectural risks and drive solutions before they become delivery issues.
• Develop reusable architecture standards, artefacts and design approaches.
• Mentor architects and engineers, sharing knowledge and raising technical capability across the wider team.

What you'll bring:

• Microsoft Azure and cloud/hybrid infrastructure architecture.
• Leading cloud migrations and new solution design.
• Solution and infrastructure architecture within complex enterprise environments.
• Acting as a Solution Owner, Lead Architect or Senior Solution Architect.
• Security and compliance by design.
• Networking, identity and access management.
• Resilience, disaster recovery and operational support.
• Architecture governance, standards and design assurance.
• Presenting complex technical recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Influencing senior customers and stakeholders.

It would be great if you had:

• Architecting or managing multiple cloud tenancies across Government, Defence or military customers.
• Tenant segregation, security, governance and service management.
• Working within a shared services environment supporting multiple public sector customers.
• BizzDesign Architecture Modelling software

Salary: To £85K Dependant on experience.
