Service Desk Coordinator
Our client is looking for a confident and highly organised Service Desk Coordinator to join their growing operations team. This is a fast-paced and customer-facing role that requires strong communication skills, excellent time management, and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling customer queries, scheduling engineers, managing service calls, and ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently to meet agreed service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle incoming customer queries via telephone and email in a timely and accurate manner, meeting contractual SLAs
Coordinate and manage a team of engineers and regular partners to carry out both reactive service calls and planned maintenance visits
Assign the appropriate engineer to reactive calls based on skill set and geographical location
Contact clients to schedule service visits, taking into account job-specific requirements and access arrangements
Respond to internal communications efficiently
Update Job Logic software with real-time job statuses and notes
Raise and send equipment orders as requested by engineers for fault resolution
Produce and distribute client dashboards on a weekly or monthly basis
Raise purchase orders to third-party suppliers for support agreements or subcontractor services
Support the Customer Service Desk Administrators with quoting and part procurement for fault resolution
Act as a professional and courteous ambassador for the company at all times
Perform any additional duties requested by your line manager to support the service desk operations
Person / Experience Required:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Excellent time management, organisation, and multitasking abilities
Ability to prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure
Proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain service standards
A team player who is eager to learn and contribute to service improvements
Working knowledge of UK geography is advantageous
Previous experience in a customer service or service desk role is desirable
