Why Southwark?

Southwark is a vibrant, diverse and ambitious borough at the heart of London. As one of the country’s leading local authorities, we are committed to serving our communities, delivering high-quality services and driving positive change for residents and businesses.

  • Manage your own workload and complete tasks to agreed timescales and standards
  • Attend training, workshops and college sessions as part of your apprenticeship programme
  • Build strong foundations in data management, customer service and performance reporting

You will play a key role in supporting our fast-moving programme of work at a crucial time for the department.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about working with data and keen to learn. You don’t need lots of experience, just the right attitude, motivation and willingness to develop.

You’ll enjoy this role if you:

  • Are curious, analytical and enjoy solving problems
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with different people
  • Stay organised and manage your time well
  • Feel comfortable using basic IT tools and are keen to learn new systems
  • Work well as part of a team and bring a flexible, positive approach
  • Take responsibility for your own learning and want to build a career in data
  • Can attend work, training and college sessions reliably
  • Are committed to completing the apprenticeship and making the most of the opportunity
  • If you’re eager to grow your skills, gain hands-on experience and make a positive impact in Southwark, we’ll give you the support and opportunities to succeed.

This is a two-year fixed-term apprenticeship contract, providing structured training and hands-on experience throughout the programme.
