Sales Lead (Player-Coach) - HR Tech SaaS Scale-Up

I’m partnering with a fast-growing HR tech SaaS business that’s transforming how organisations engage, listen to, and understand their people. With a strong reputation across sectors from large enterprises to public organisations, they’re now entering their next phase of commercial expansion and looking for a Sales Lead to play a pivotal role in scaling growth.

This is a hands-on, quota-carrying, player-coach position, ideal for a commercially minded sales leader who loves building and developing high-performing teams while still staying close to strategic deals.

You’ll report directly to the CEO and take ownership of new business performance, pipeline generation, and sales process optimisation. You’ll lead a small but ambitious team (currently 3 SDRs and 1 AE), personally manage key enterprise opportunities, and help shape the GTM strategy as the business scales.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead, coach, and develop a growing sales team - driving structure, accountability, and performance.
• Own and deliver your own ARR target while ensuring team success.
• Build scalable processes, refine the sales playbook, and use data to optimise conversion across the funnel.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and customer success to ensure alignment on pipeline and client outcomes.
• Personally lead and support key enterprise pursuits, adding value at senior HR and C-suite level.

Requirements

• 5–10 years’ experience in B2B SaaS sales, ideally within HR tech or people analytics.
• Proven success leading small, high-performing teams and exceeding targets in a growth-stage business (1+ year)
• Hands-on leader - equally strong in strategy, execution, and coaching.
• Data-driven, commercially sharp, and process-minded.
• Confident communicator with executive presence and credibility at senior stakeholder level.
