IT Field Engineer

IT Field Engineer - £200/day via Umbrella - 1 month Contract - Scotland - Onsite - SCC Flex Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced IT Field Engineer to support a short-term deployment project across multiple sites in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT Field Engineer who enjoys working in the field, travelling between locations, and delivering high-quality hardware installations.

As an IT Field Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and configuring Zebra printers across various customer sites, ensuring all devices are operational and performing as expected.

Your responsibilities as the IT Field Engineer:

• Install and configure Zebra printers across multiple customer locations.

• Travel between sites throughout Scotland to complete scheduled installations.

• Test printer functionality and troubleshoot any setup or connectivity issues.

• Ensure all deployed devices are operating correctly and meeting customer requirements.

• Provide basic user guidance and support where required.

• Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and site activities.

• Escalate any complex technical issues to the appropriate support teams.

As a successful IT Field Engineer, you will have:

• Previous experience working as an IT Field Engineer or in a similar field-based technical support role.

• Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware devices.

• Experience working with Zebra printers or similar printing technologies.

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites across Scotland.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively.
