QA Automation Engineer - Fully Remote

£65,000 + Benefits | Fully Remote | FinTech/FX

My client is a fast-growing FinTech business looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join one of their product engineering teams.

You'll work alongside Software Engineers, Product, Design and QA, taking ownership of quality throughout the development life cycle and helping to expand the automated test coverage across a business-critical financial platform.

This is a hands-on automation role where you'll have the opportunity to influence how testing is approached rather than simply executing an established test suite.

What you'll be doing

• Building and maintaining automated tests using Playwright

• Expanding automated regression coverage across the platform

• Creating comprehensive test plans and test cases

• Working closely with engineers to identify and resolve issues

• Using SQL to interrogate data and support testing

• Contributing to technical and architectural discussions from a testability perspective

• Helping improve QA processes, tooling and overall product quality

• Using AI tooling to support areas such as test planning, documentation and analysis

What we're looking for

• Commercial experience testing FX/Foreign Exchange systems

• Strong QA automation experience

• Hands-on experience with Playwright

• Programming/Scripting experience with JavaScript

• Strong SQL skills

• Experience across both white-box and black-box testing

• A good understanding of modern QA methodologies and processes

Experience with AWS or Azure, particularly around test environments or cloud-based test execution, would be beneficial.
