Overview:
A global data centre services provider is seeking a Technical Supervisor to join its critical operations team in Northolt . This is a hands-on supervisory role, ideal for experienced high-voltage engineers looking to step into team leadership within a 24/7 mission-critical environment.
You'll be responsible for ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered safely and in compliance with strict operational, QHSE, and customer standards, while supervising a team of shift engineers and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the delivery of all PPM and reactive tasks across the site

  • Act as a High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP) on site

  • Ensure full compliance with QHSE, statutory, and client-specific policies and procedures

  • Manage scheduling for the day engineering team (holidays, absences, etc.)

  • Deliver operational excellence across electrical and mechanical systems

  • Control and supervise third-party service partners when required

  • Liaise with management and escalate urgent issues promptly

  • Maintain technical documentation including SOPs, EOPs, MOPs, and switching schedules

  • Lead and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Accountabilities:

  • Reports to the Contract Manager

  • Day-to-day supervision of the engineering team and hands-on support when required

  • Ensure the environment is audit-ready and compliant at all times

  • Responsible for site-level documentation and operational communication

  • Support basic quotation work and maintain financial awareness
Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in a critical environment (e.g. data centres, healthcare, banking)

  • High Voltage Authorised Person (AP15)

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

  • Strong electrical background with good mechanical knowledge

  • Experience managing subcontractors and permit-to-work systems

  • Excellent knowledge of health & safety legislation and safe systems of work

  • Strong communication, customer service, and computer literacy skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively

  • LVAP / HVAP certified
Desirable Qualifications:

  • IOSH or NEBOSH H&S Certification

  • First Aid training

  • Low Voltage Authorised Person (AP14)
