  • Support highly available and clustered Linux services, including Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) and Red Hat Resilient Storage/GFS2.

  • Manage enterprise storage and volume technologies, including VXFS, ZFS, XFS, EXT3/4, UFS, SVM, VXVM and LVM.

  • Support storage replication, disaster recovery and resilience activities, including SRDF and STAR.

  • Maintain system security, access controls, audit logging and compliance requirements, including LDAP, CyberArk and SCCM.

  • Investigate recurring faults, perform root-cause analysis and implement preventative improvements.

  • Support Linux workloads on VMware or comparable virtualisation platforms.

  • Contribute to infrastructure upgrades, obsolescence remediation, automation and service transition.

  • Maintain technical documentation and follow established incident, problem, change and configuration management processes.

  • Work collaboratively with infrastructure, networking, storage, security and application teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Active DV clearance - essential.

  • Strong experience in a senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer or 2nd/3rd-line Linux support role.

  • Hands-on administration and troubleshooting of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu Server.

  • Experience supporting large-scale, business-critical Linux environments, including Legacy platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, patching, upgrades, security hardening, logging and auditing.

  • Practical experience with Veritas Cluster Server and/or Red Hat Resilient Storage/GFS2.

  • Knowledge of enterprise file systems and volume management, including VXFS, ZFS, XFS and LVM.

  • Experience with enterprise storage replication and disaster recovery, ideally SRDF and STAR.

  • Familiarity with VMware virtualisation, LDAP, CyberArk and SCCM.

  • Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, Firewalls and connectivity troubleshooting.

  • Understanding of container technologies and their interaction with the underlying Linux operating system.

  • Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues in a secure, controlled environment.

  • A methodical approach to incident management, technical documentation and change control.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to work on a technically demanding infrastructure assignment within a highly secure environment, supporting critical services where reliability, security and technical expertise matter.
