SC cleared Automation Tester / Developer-In-Test (SDET) with strong Java coding skills needed for a permanent position based in Croydon.

Hybrid working: 2-3 days/week remote and 2-3 days/week working on-site in Croydon. Start asap, ideally in Autum 2023.

Must either be active SC Security Cleared or fully eligible to undergo the SC Security Clearance process.

Key experience + tasks will include:

• Software Developer-in-Test (SDET / SDIT) with a strong Java & Automation Testing experience.
• Strong JAVA coding skills are essential.  Awareness for Tech Stack, Microservices Architecture, Kafka Connect, Python advanced (celery, multithreading),
• Working knowledge of cloud environments especially AWS and automated infrastructure important.
• Passionate about code quality and advocate of clean code principles
• CI/CD + DevOps tools: Jenkins, Docker/ Ansible, Kubernetes, Github, Bitbucket + Stash.  Vault, Consul Services.
• Test Automation of UI using: Selenium, Cucumber / Gherkin, Serenity, Maven, WireMock. Junit/TestNG,
• Plan + schedule test automation for automation regression packs.
• Building test environment + test bed for test automation runs.
• Testing for UI, API, SOAP UI, RESTFUL services, Rest-Assured + Web Services systems including Mocks.
• Database knowledge: SQL, Oracle, Postgres. PLSQL, very large datasets and appreciation of data isolation in a multi-tenanted SAAS platform.
• JIRA Test Management tools for planning, execution, reporting + defect management.
• Advantageous:  JavaScript, JMeter scripting
• Agile/Scrum working environments.
• Active SC Clearance is strongly preferred.
