Job Title: Technical Architect (Identity & Access Management)
Day Rate: £590 per day Inside IR35
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Location : Remote
Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required (will accept SC clearance eligible)
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join the team to accelerate a strategic Identity and Access Management (IAM) delivery programme.
The successful architect will act as the technical authority across authentication and authorization workflows, present designs to governance boards, and assure services across multidisciplinary delivery teams
Key Responsibilities
IAM Architecture & Standards: Lead the design and implementation of modern IAM architectures, leveraging industry protocols including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML .
Technical Governance: Prepare artefacts for and present designs to formal technical governance bodies (e.g., Technical Design Authority / Architecture Review Boards).
Stakeholder Engagement: Articulate, justify, and defend architectural and design decisions to technical teams, senior business stakeholders, and non-technical leaders.
Service Assurance: Review and assure the technical quality of delivered systems, ensuring solutions remain secure, scalable, and resilient.
Key Requirements Active SC Clearance: You must hold active SC clearance for this role
IAM Expertise: Deep technical expertise in Identity and Access Management, federation, directory services, and modern auth protocols ( OAuth, OIDC ).
Governance Experience: Proven track record guiding solutions through formal public sector or enterprise architecture governance forums.
Consultative Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex architectural trade-offs into plain language for diverse stakeholders.
Public Sector Context: Practical experience applying UK Central Government architectural frameworks and security guidance (e.g., NCSC principles, GDS standards). xehkeey
