Job Description

This 12-month initial contract offers an experienced Network Engineer with proven experience in Cisco ACI, the opportunity to design, implement and support Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) solutions. You will work on complex networking environments, focusing on delivering robust, scalable and secure data centre connectivity using Cisco technologies. This role offers fully remote working and will also be operating INSIDE IR35.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure and implement Cisco ACI fabric solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Support, maintain and optimise existing Cisco ACI environments, ensuring stability, performance and security.
  • Troubleshoot network issues within Cisco ACI fabrics and related Cisco network components, identifying root causes and implementing permanent fixes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to integrate Cisco ACI with wider network and infrastructure services.
  • Document network designs, configurations and operational procedures for Cisco ACI environments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of network standards, best practices and automation within Cisco-based infrastructures.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer working with Cisco networking technologies.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI).
  • Solid understanding of data centre networking concepts and architectures using Cisco solutions.
  • Ability to configure, support and troubleshoot Cisco ACI fabrics in production environments.
  • Capability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues in Cisco-based infrastructures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • experience integrating Cisco ACI with broader network and infrastructure services.
  • Exposure to documenting network architectures, configurations and operational processes.
  • Interest in staying current with Cisco networking innovations and best practices.
  • CCNP certified would be ideal but not required.
