Storage Administrator
Storage Consultant - VAST Data Contract | Fully Remote We're supporting a leading enterprise organisation in the search for an experienced Storage Consultant with strong VAST Data expertise. This is an opportunity to join a large-scale infrastructure environment, helping to support, optimise, and evolve a high-performance storage platform underpinning critical business services. Working alongside infrastructure, platform, and engineering teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring platform stability, improving performance, automating operational processes, and supporting the ongoing growth of a modern data estate. What You'll Need Hands-on experience supporting and administering VAST Data storage platforms While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.
Strong background in NAS, SAN, and scale-out storage environments
Knowledge of NFS, SMB, S3, snapshots, replication, backup, and disaster recovery
experience supporting Linux, Windows, VMware , and enterprise infrastructure
Understanding of NVMe, RDMA/RoCE, InfiniBand , and high-performance networking
experience troubleshooting storage performance, capacity, and availability issues
Scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
Familiarity with monitoring, automation, and infrastructure management tools
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical teams and stakeholders
Desirable experience integrating storage solutions with Kubernetes or containerised environments
Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform , and API-driven automation
Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments
Understanding of modern scale-out storage architectures and data platform technologies
experience working within large enterprise or regulated environments
