Initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential
Fully remote, UK-based

Role Overview
A global industrial products distributor is looking for an experienced SAP EWM Architect to lead warehouse solution design on its S/4HANA transformation. You'll be the design authority for warehouse management processes. That means running fit-to-standard workshops, governing solution decisions and holding the systems integrator to account. You'll also make sure the global template scales across a multi-country distribution and fulfilment network. The role works across business operations and technology, so you'll need both strategic direction and hands-on design capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SAP EWM solution design and architecture, aligned to S/4HANA best practice and enterprise architecture standards
  • Act as design authority for inbound, outbound, inventory management, internal movements and physical inventory processes
  • Drive fit-to-standard and keep customisation to a minimum
  • Define and govern global vs local process requirements for multi-country rollouts
  • Provide architectural direction on warehouse automation, MHE, robotics, RF and barcode solutions
  • Challenge Legacy processes and non-standard requests from business stakeholders
  • Lead solution design workshops and drive decisions across global and regional stakeholder groups
  • Work with the SI partner to translate requirements into functional and technical S/4HANA solutions
  • Ensure integration with adjacent systems, including SAP ECC, Metapack, Exotec and Blue Yonder

Key Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years delivering warehouse management and supply chain execution solutions, with a strong SAP EWM focus
  • Multiple full-life cycle SAP EWM implementations in complex environments
  • Deep knowledge of warehouse operations: receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping and returns
  • Strong MHE and automation integration experience, covering conveyors, sortation, ASRS, robotics and WCS
  • RF, mobile execution and barcode-enabled process design
  • Multi-country, multi-site deployment experience
  • Proven track record governing SIs, leading senior stakeholders and making architecture decisions
  • Experience working with offshore and distributed delivery teams
