Trainee Service Engineer
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £21,200 to £26,500 DOE

We're recruiting a Junior Service Engineer to join an established engineering team, supporting the servicing, maintenance and repair of CCTV, access control and integrated security systems across Liverpool and the surrounding area.
No previous security experience is essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
The Role
Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll learn how to maintain and troubleshoot electronic security systems across a variety of customer sites.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the servicing and maintenance of CCTV and access control systems.
- Learning to identify faults and carry out basic repairs.
- Supporting experienced engineers during site visits.
- Developing your knowledge of IP-based security systems and associated technology.
- Using tools and diagnostic equipment safely.
- Completing service reports and keeping accurate records.
- Following site procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Providing professional and friendly customer service.
You'll receive a structured induction and hands-on training, with support from senior engineers as you build your confidence and technical ability.
About You
- Interested in engineering, electronics or technology.
- Previous security experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Basic electrical or technical knowledge would be an advantage.
- Practical, reliable and keen to learn.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
- Organised, punctual and professional when dealing with customers.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
