3d Modeler/ 3D Generalist

We are working with a market-leading, global business that manufactures medical devices which improve lives and the health of their customers. They have a unique opportunity for a 3D Modeler/3D Generalist to join their team for an initial 5 month assignment starting ASAP with the potential for this to be extended. The role will require travel to their central London office 1 day per week so candidates must be within a reasonable commute.

As a Modeler, you will be part of our client's amazing creative team producing high-quality 3D assets for use within medical visualizations, digital training and XR simulations.

You will collaborate with other 3D artists, designers, production managers, and clinical subject-matter experts in the production process.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for a contractor who thrives in an agile, creative environment with a strong collaborative team culture.

Candidates must have experience in using Maya, plus soft body modelling. Industry experience is not essential but you must be interested in utilising your modelling experience in a medical company.

£18.40ph - £23ph depending on experience (£35,880pa - £44,850pa)

Candidate requirements:

  • 3D modelling experience.
  • Experienced with organic and hard surface modelling.
  • Have a passion for your craft and have a good eye for detail. Understanding the form, silhouette, and structure of any object you are tasked with modelling.
  • An awareness of clarity in visual communication, understanding the topology that would be required in animation.
  • Competent in the use of Maya.
  • Generalist skills such as texturing, shader development, lighting and compositing
  • You are able to solve problems, express yourself easily, and take on feedback professionally.
  • You are self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, and a great team player.
  • The right to work in the UK and the ability to work from our office in Central London.
  • A thorough understanding of modelling pipelines and the processes involved from the conceptual phase to implementation.
  • Unity experience desirable
