Business & Computing Teacher - Secondary School (Bolton) Immediate or January Start QTS or Aspiring Teachers Welcome

Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of business minds and digital innovators? A forward-thinking secondary school in Bolton is seeking a Business & Computing Teacher to join their team on a supply basis, with potential for long-term development within the school.

The school welcomes:

  • Qualified Teachers (QTS) with experience or interest in Business and/or Computing, OR
  • Degree-qualified candidates who are aspiring to become teachers. The school can offer structured support to help the right individual achieve their teaching qualifications.

The Role

  • Teach Business and Computing across KS3-KS4
  • Deliver engaging and supportive lessons to motivate and challenge students
  • Contribute to a department that is currently strengthening and expanding its Computing curriculum, with a key focus on:
    • Coding and programming
    • Cyber security awareness and digital safety
    • Broadening practical Computing skills to meet modern industry needs
  • Play an active role in helping shape new schemes of work and enrichment opportunities as the school develops its digital learning offer
  • Start immediately or in January, depending on your availability

Ideal Candidate

  • QTS-qualified teacher or a degree graduate enthusiastic about moving into teaching
  • Strong subject knowledge in Business, Computing, coding, or digital technologies
  • Confidence in delivering or supporting lessons in programming languages (any experience with Python, HTML/CSS, or similar is beneficial)
  • Passion for emerging areas like cyber security and the ability to inspire students in digital literacy
  • Engaging classroom presence with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to student progress and departmental growth
