About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Technical Consultant to join our Professional Services team. This is a project delivery and technical consultancy role with a strong focus on SharePoint Online and the wider Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

Working alongside experienced consultants, you will help configure, migrate and improve SharePoint environments that make information easier to find, manage and share securely. You will also gain exposure to broader Microsoft 365, Azure and infrastructure engagements, contributing to projects from discovery through to handover.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Gathering and documenting client requirements through discovery workshops.
  • Assist in the design and configuration of modern SharePoint Online environments, including sites, navigation, libraries, metadata and permissions.
  • Delivering migrations to SharePoint Online and OneDrive using tools such as SharePoint Migration Tool, Migration Manager and Sharegate.
  • Reviewing source data, permissions and content to ensure migrations are secure and well prepared.
  • Managing testing, validation, documentation, cutover and post-migration support.
  • Taking ownership of assigned SharePoint project tasks, health checks, governance reviews and wider Microsoft 365 activities.

Client Engagement & Training

  • Engaging with clients to understand their needs and translate them into practical SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Communicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preparing clear documentation, handover materials and delivering administrator and end-user training.
  • Advising clients on governance, ownership, retention and best practice to support effective ongoing use.
  • Building trusted client relationships through professional communication, dependable delivery and appropriate escalation.

About You

  • Approximately 1 to 3 years of experience in Microsoft 365, IT support or project delivery, ideally within an MSP or consultancy environment.
  • Practical experience with SharePoint Online, including site administration, permissions, document libraries, metadata and migrations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 technologies, including Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online and Microsoft EntraID.
  • An understanding of SharePoint migrations, governance, security, retention and lifecycle management.
  • Broader technical knowledge of Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong communication and requirements-gathering skills, with confidence engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • An organised, proactive and solution-focused approach, with an interest in delivering secure, practical and user-friendly solutions.
