Data Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Data & Analytics Department that plays a key role in delivering insights to support clinical and operational excellence across the Trust.
As a Data Analyst, you will:
- Collect, analyse, and present data from multiple sources
- Collaborate with clinical, managerial, and external stakeholders
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reports to support planning, performance, and decision-making
- Develop and maintain dashboards using tools such as Power BI
- Write and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract and manipulate data
- Ensure the integrity, consistency, and quality of data in line with Trust standards and national guidelines
You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting tools, processes, and data governance frameworks, working closely with a team of experienced analysts and reporting to the Data & Analytics Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce routine and ad hoc reports for internal teams and external requests (including Freedom of Information requests)
- Develop and maintain reports in Power BI or Excel
- Write and troubleshoot SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
- Assist in the development of reporting systems and dashboards (ORBIT reports)
- Ensure compliance with data quality standards and policies
- Support the Trust in delivering safe, effective, and evidence-led care
Person Specification
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- Experience working with databases and analytical tools
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau
- SQL experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
