IT Asset Management & Deployment Support Technician

Location: Leatherhead, Surrey (with travel across Surrey)

Contract: 6 months

Day Rate: £126.24

Venn Group is currently recruiting for an IT Asset Management & Deployment Support Technician to support an organisation based in Surrey on an initial 6-month contract.

The successful candidate will initially be based onsite in Leatherhead, supporting the IT Asset Management team, before assisting with a wider device refresh programme across multiple sites in Surrey.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day management and tracking of IT assets, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
• Assist with an IT device refresh programme, replacing desktop PCs across multiple locations.
• Prepare and deploy pre-built IT equipment, including desktops and mobile phones.
• Support the IT Service Desk by managing and resolving tickets within the support queue.
• Update the asset management system to accurately reflect equipment allocation, deployment and replacement.
• Travel to different sites across Surrey to assist with device installations and replacements.
• Provide general IT support to users during the deployment process.

Essential Experience

• Previous experience in IT support, IT asset management or desktop deployment.
• Good understanding of IT hardware, including desktop PCs, laptops and mobile devices.
• Experience maintaining accurate IT asset records and inventory systems.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and service desk processes.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider IT support team.

Desirable

• Previous experience supporting an IT hardware refresh or rollout programme.
• Experience working across multiple sites.
• Full UK driving licence and access to transport would be beneficial, although work vehicles may be available.
