Senior Project Manager
Role Purpose:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) implementation and transformation projects at Venture. This role requires a strategic, process-led approach to planning, execution, governance, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
The Senior Project Manager will champion Venture’s implementation methodology and drive business value through enterprise-scale Finance & Operations transformation programmes across Finance, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Manufacturing, and Operations functions.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Execution
Strategic Project Leadership
- Plan, initiate, and manage multiple Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementation projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with client business transformation objectives
- Own the F&O solution delivery strategy and ensure successful project execution from initiation through to go-live and hypercare
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project scopes, objectives, timelines, budgets, RAID logs, and resource plans
- Coordinate dependencies across Finance, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Manufacturing, and Operations workstreams
- Ensure end-to-end business process thinking is embedded throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive governance and decision-making across complex enterprise transformation programmes
Methodology & Delivery Governance
- Lead structured, process-led implementations aligned with Venture delivery standards
- Coordinate discovery, design, build, test, deployment, and support phases
- Ensure full requirements traceability from business need through to solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Manage stage gates and project quality reviews at key milestones
- Ensure delivery artefacts and project documentation are maintained within Azure DevOps and SharePoint
- Maintain accurate forecasting for project budgets, resources, timelines, and delivery risks
Delivery Management
- Coordinate workshops, design sessions, sprint planning, testing cycles, and deployment activities
- Ensure stakeholder engagement and alignment throughout all delivery phases
- Drive incremental sign-off and governance approvals across process areas
- Monitor delivery quality through iterative validation, stakeholder reviews, and testing outcomes
- Ensure suitable resource skillsets are aligned to project requirements throughout the lifecycle
Stakeholder & Team Management
Client Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with executive sponsors, programme stakeholders, and client leadership teams
- Manage expectations proactively through clear, timely, and professional communication
- Lead steering committees, governance forums, and executive status reviews
- Handle escalations, delivery challenges, and difficult conversations effectively
- Ensure client-side responsibilities and commitments are met throughout project delivery
Cross-Functional Team Leadership
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional delivery teams including Functional Consultants, Solution Architects, Technical Consultants, Developers, Data Migration Leads, and Test Managers
- Define clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability across project teams
- Conduct regular project status meetings, delivery reviews, and team check-ins
- Support, mentor, and motivate delivery teams to achieve high performance
- Coordinate with third-party vendors, ISVs, and integration partners as required
Governance & Process Excellence
Quality & Best Practices
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with Venture’s Finance & Operations implementation standards and best practices
- Facilitate peer reviews, architecture reviews, and quality assurance checkpoints
- Maintain strong documentation discipline across plans, RAID logs, testing outcomes, governance packs, and lessons learned
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes, tools, and methodologies
- Ensure defects and delivery issues are tracked, prioritised, and resolved appropriately
Financial & Resource Management
- Own project budget management, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Monitor project financial performance including burn rate, utilisation, forecast at completion, and gross margin
- Assess financial and delivery impacts of change requests
- Plan resource allocation based on project complexity, skill requirements, and delivery timelines
- Monitor workload and delivery capacity across project teams
Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular project status updates, dashboards, and reporting to leadership and stakeholders
- Prepare executive Steering Committee reports including progress summaries, delivery milestones, risks, decisions required, and financial reporting
- Escalate significant delivery risks, scope changes, and timeline concerns appropriately
- Maintain communication standards that are clear, concise, proactive, professional, and documented
What You’ll Bring:
Essential
Finance & Operations / ERP Expertise
- 5+ years of project management experience delivering Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or enterprise ERP implementations
- Strong understanding of Finance & Operations functionality across Finance, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Manufacturing, and Operations
- Knowledge of ERP implementation methodologies and enterprise transformation programmes
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem
Project Management Proficiency
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex ERP implementation projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies
- Experience managing enterprise-scale transformation and process-led implementations
- Expertise in scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder management
- Demonstrated experience managing full project lifecycles from initiation through hypercare
Stakeholder & Communication Skills
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
