We’re supporting an established IT services provider in Sheffield who are looking to add a Service Desk Engineer to their managed services team.This is a role where you’ll be the first point of contact for users, dealing with a steady flow of support tickets and keeping things moving. You’ll be working with an experienced team who share knowledge, support each other and create a friendly, productive working atmosphere. - Responding to support requests and managing tickets efficiently.
- Troubleshooting Windows, Microsoft 365, VPN and connectivity issues.
- Setting up new users and handling routine system admin tasks.
- Providing calm, clear support to users with a range of technical experience.
- Using ticketing systems and established processes to keep work on track.
- Updating documentation so information is accurate and useful for the wider team.
- Working with colleagues on more complex problems when needed.
- Someone who genuinely enjoys IT support and helping people.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows 11 and Microsoft 365.
- Basic networking knowledge such as DNS, DHCP, VPNs and IP addressing.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to follow processes, work to SLAs and manage your workload.
- Reliable, organised and comfortable in an office-based role.
- Salary between £24,500 and £26,000 depending on experience.
- Full training and support, including paid Microsoft certifications.
