The role

This is a hands-on VP of Engineering reporting directly to the CEO. You'll own the full engineering function — strategy, architecture, delivery, hiring and security — while also being a visible, customer-facing leader who can hold their own in front of technical buyers and scientific stakeholders.

It's a rare combination of deep technical ownership and commercial influence, at a company where what you build genuinely matters.

What they're looking for

• 10+ years engineering experience, at least 3 leading teams of 5+
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and AWS cloud architecture
• A proven track record of hiring and growing high-performing teams
• Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
• Must be based in NI, with Right to Work

Bonus points for

• Early-stage startup or scale-up background
• Experience shipping AI/ML or LLM-powered features in production
• Life sciences, healthcare or Pharma software background
