The role
This is a hands-on VP of Engineering reporting directly to the CEO. You'll own the full engineering function — strategy, architecture, delivery, hiring and security — while also being a visible, customer-facing leader who can hold their own in front of technical buyers and scientific stakeholders.
It's a rare combination of deep technical ownership and commercial influence, at a company where what you build genuinely matters.
The stack Angular · TypeScript · AWS · AI/ML · LLM capabilities
What they're looking for
- 10+ years engineering experience, at least 3 leading teams of 5+
- Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and AWS cloud architecture
- A proven track record of hiring and growing high-performing teams
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Must be based in NI, with Right to Work
Bonus points for
- Early-stage startup or scale-up background
- Experience shipping AI/ML or LLM-powered features in production
- Life sciences, healthcare or Pharma software background
