About The Role Team – Technology Architecture Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in any of the Vitality offices (Bournemouth, London or Stockport). Full time hours per week.We are happy to discuss flexible working! Top 3 skills needed for this role:

What this role is all about: As a Solutions Architect, you will define and shape the technology strategy that underpins our business transformation. This role goes beyond designing systems, it ensures every solution aligns with enterprise architecture principles, business priorities, and development standards to deliver measurable outcomes. You’ll bridge vision and execution, translating strategic objectives into scalable, secure, and future-ready technology solutions that enable growth and innovation.Key Actions
  • Working closely with the technology organisation, designing solutions that cross technical, product and application boundaries
  • Being the point of contact for resolving any architectural issues
  • Acting as an SME for technical changes and assist in providing proposals and estimates for new initiatives or product enhancements
  • Owning, creating and maintaining Solution Design documentation and seeking relevant sign off
  • Contributing to design standards and patterns, and form part of the governing body of Enterprise Architecture
  • Supporting Projects and Product Enhancements throughout the development and delivery lifecycle
  • Assisting in Incident/Problem management, Root Cause Analysis and definition of solutions
  • Working closely with the engineering team(s) – encouraging continuous improvement in the development, build, test and maintenance of the system
What do you need to thrive?
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Solution Architect across diverse technologies (e.g., Java/Spring, .NET, JavaScript, microservices, containers, databases, cloud).
  • Able to assess emerging technologies and their impact on existing systems.
  • Expert in full lifecycle delivery – design, development, testing, and deployment using modern tools and frameworks.
  • Clear communicator – capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Agile mindset – experience with Agile methodologies (ideally SAFe).
  • Strong multitasker – able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborative and independent – thrives in cross-functional teams and works autonomously.
  • Adaptable and resilient – comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Self-driven and accountable – takes ownership and delivers results.
  • Analytical problem-solver – sharp thinking and solution-oriented approach.
