Head of Applications/Insurance Systems

Our client, a prestigious speciality Insurer are looking for a Head of Applications/Head of Insurance Systems. The role will be to manage, via 3rd parties, the delivery and improvement of business critical applications, including the core Underwriting Platform and Claims systems

There will also be a large digitalisation programme to manage with a mix of inhouse and 3rd party systems

Role

• Responsibility for providing delivery and business support for the Group's core Policy and Claims Administration Systems
• Business analysis, design and testing of new system requirements.
• Close vendor liaison for enhancement, support and maintenance of system.
• Investigating and resolving business queries and system issues.
• Producing figures for syndicate service company accounting

Experience Needed

• Extensive commercial insurance business knowledge for Lloyd's, Companies Market, Syndicate Service Companies and Delegated Authorities.
• Proven experience of managing IT and software suppliers to deliver enhancements and medium sized change onto Insurance PAS, Claims systems (large enterprise level platforms).
• Budget management upto £1m for IT projects and systems
• Line management experience, the role has 2 direct reports currently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
