Job Title: PostgreSQL DBA

Location: Manchester (Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite)

Duration: 6 months contract initially

Rate: £402 per day on PAYE through Umbrella

Job Description:

• Maintenance & Optimization: Perform regular database maintenance activities and optimize database resources to ensure stability and efficiency.

• Observability & Reporting: Monitor database health, availability, and capacity, and provide regular operational and performance reports.

• Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Manage and validate disaster recovery and high availability solutions to ensure business continuity.

• Backup & Restore: Configure, monitor, and periodically test database backup and restore processes to ensure data recoverability and Application team requirement

• Performance Tuning: Analyze and tune database performance to improve query execution, resource utilization, and application responsiveness.

• Development & Incident Support: Provide database support for development activities and assist in troubleshooting and resolving production incidents.

• Proactive Issue Resolution: Identify potential database issues proactively and implement corrective actions before they impact business operations.

• Schema & Database Management: Manage database schemas, objects, and changes while ensuring adherence to governance standards.

• Database Security Architecture: Implement and maintain database security controls, access management, and compliance requirements to protect organizational data recommendation from Bank Security team.
