Senior Network Engineer - Private Bank
We are partnering with a leading Private Bank to recruit a Senior Network Engineer to join its established technology team.
The Role
- Design, support and manage enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN and data centre networks
- Take ownership of the bank's on-premises network platforms
- Support and troubleshoot enterprise networking, including switching and resilient network design
- Manage enterprise firewalls, including Palo Alto and Check Point
- Support enterprise Wi-Fi, NAC, 802.1X and network segmentation
- Manage routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, ECMP and Layer 2/3 networking
- Support modern data centre networking including spine-leaf, EVPN-VXLAN and IP fabrics
- Own network OS, firmware and security patching across Firewalls, Switches, Routers, wireless and load balancers
- Support F5 BIG-IP load balancing technologies
- Maintain network security controls, Firewall rules and vulnerability remediation
Experience Required
- Strong hands on network engineering experience within business critical environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto and/or Check Point Firewalls
- Excellent Routing/Switching knowledge, including BGP, OSPF and resilient Layer 2/Layer 3 design
- WAN, SD-WAN, VPNs and network security skills essential.
- Experience with modern data centre networking technologies
