Business Intelligence Developer

We are heading up a recruitment drive for a global consultancy that require a Business Intelligence Develope to join them on a major government project that's based remotely (2 days per month in Telford).

Duration: 8 months
Location: Telford. 2 days per month on-site
IR35 Status: Mandated PAYE

A Business Intelligence Developer with the following skills/experience is required to work with the HMRC MU's Central Business Operations Support team (CBOS).

Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to deliver robust BI solutions using Microsoft technologies.

Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, and related database technologies for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

Solution Development: Skilled in designing, developing, and implementing Business Intelligence solutions, including dashboards and reports using Power BI and SSRS.

Data Integration: Proficiency in integrating data from multiple sources and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability for business decision-making.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve data and reporting issues.

Training & Support: Track record of providing user training, documentation, and ongoing support for BI tools, dashboards, and reports.

Business Acumen: Understanding of Business Intelligence strategies and their application to support organizational objectives.

Other Skills/Experience:
Power Apps and Power Automate for advanced data workflows and automation.
Certification in Microsoft Power Platform, SQL Server, or related technologies.
Familiarity with data modelling and data warehousing.
Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and information security principles.
