Senior Solutions Engineer

Hybrid - mixture of office / home-working (HQ in Northampton)

Salary is negotiable depending on experience

This role is for a established SaaS company delivering high-assurance Cross Domain Solutions working in critical defence, government and CNI environments.

About the role:

As a Solutions Engineer you will work closely with sales, engineering and customer teams to design, propose and deliver secure data transfer / cross domain solutions.

You will translate client requirements into system architecture, support proof-of-concepts, configure and test solutions, and ensure a smooth hand-off to delivery/engineering.

What you will be doing:

• Engage with clients (defence, government, CNI) to capture technical requirements and constraints for cross-domain/OT-IT/secure data transfer solutions.
• Design solution architectures (software + hardware) incorporating 4Secure and third-party software, data diodes, data filtering.
• Assist the sales team by producing technical proposals, designs, bill of materials.
• Configure, test and validate solutions in lab or field-environments; support POCs and demonstrations.
• Work with delivery/engineering teams to ensure hand-over of requirements, maintain documentation and ensure correct implementation.
• Provide technical support during commissioning, integration and client acceptance.
• Stay abreast of relevant cybersecurity technologies, cross-domain policy/regulation and contribute to product/solution improvement.

What we are looking for:

• 3-5 years experience in solution engineering, systems integration or pre-sales engineering within defence or critical infrastructure.
• Knowledge of networking, network security concepts, firewall/filtering, data diodes or unidirectional security, and secure data transfer between domains.
• Strong and demonstrable Linux experience
• Experience preparing client-facing technical documentation, proposals and presentations.
• Experience of OT/IT integration, mission-critical systems or working with high-assurance environments.
• Full driving license and vehicle
• Must be SC clearable

Nice to have:

• Experience with certification frameworks, cross-domain solutions, secure voice/video/data, ICS/SCADA environments.
• Knowledge of our core domains: defence, critical national infrastructure, IT/OT bridging
