Location: East Croydon
Hours: 37.5 (9:00 am - 5:30 pm). Hybrid working: 2 days at home and 3 days in our modern office close to East Croydon Station.

We are looking for a commercially astute own brand buyer to drive sales and profitability for Superdrug Own Brand Hair Care and Clear Skin categories. You will develop robust commercial plans across product, price, promotions & merchandising, working closely with Senior Buyer, technical and design experts and potentially line manage a Junior Buyer.

• Develop Own Brand category plans-including range reviews, launch plans, promotions, pricing & stock-to deliver against commercial strategy and financial targets.
• Plan, forecast and evaluate promotional sales, introducing revised plans as required.
• Act as a category expert, continually developing knowledge of products, competitors and market activity to enhance performance.
• Generate new brand concepts and product development plans for existing Own Brand ranges.
• Design products and packaging aligned with customer, brand and commercial needs.
• Collaborate with Marketing, CRM, Online, Digital, Merchandising and Supply Chain teams to implement marketing and promotion plans, manage availability and minimise slow moving stock.
• Engage with International Buying and other European businesses to harmonise products/suppliers and share best practice.
• Communicate clearly across the business and maintain appropriate processes.
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, engaging effectively across teams.

• Previous experience in product development and buying.
• Commercially astute with strong market interpretation skills.
• Proven track record in brand building and product development, either directly or via relationships with proprietary brands.
• Strong negotiation, customer focused and deadline driven.
• Excellent communication, organisational, analytical and project management skills.
