Location: Battersea (Hybrid remote work available) Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + benefits Experience: 3–5 years The Role We’re looking for a Backup Engineer to keep our customers’ mission-critical data protected, recoverable, and compliant so they can sleep at night. You’ll monitor, maintain, and continuously improve our managed Backup as a Service (BaaS … environments, resolving incidents quickly and proactively preventing recurrences. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys troubleshooting across OS, application and network layers, and who communicates clearly with customers and colleagues. The Responsibilities Proactively monitor customer backup jobs, health and capacity, responding to alerts and ensuring successful, verifiable backups and restores. Diagnose and resolve backup failures across Windows Server, virtualisation platforms, applications (e.g. MS SQL, Exchange, SharePoint) and networks (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls). Advise customers on backup best practice, retention and recovery testing; document runbooks and contribute to our knowledge base. Perform restore tests and live recoveries; validate RPO/RTOs and produce clear post-incident notes. Manage multiple cases concurrently More ❯
