Helpdesk Engineer Apprentice

We are looking for an apprentice to join us as a Level 3 Helpdesk Engineer in a role providing great opportunity to begin a career in the IT sector. Duties will include the preparing new devices (e.g. laptops) for clients, and providing the initial point of contact for client calls to our IT helpdesk.

Role

Key responsibilities: 

  • Providing the initial point of contact for client calls to our IT helpdesk
  • Triage of client incidents to decide appropriate escalation methods
  • Basic windows or mac troubleshooting
  • Providing changes to Microsoft 365 such as client name / job title changes
  • Occasional site visits including PC / monitor moves in client offices (expenses paid).

  • Learn technical content that aligns to and is relevant to employers and the market
  • Gain an Azure Fundamentals Qualification and a Microsoft 365 fundamentals qualification
  • Get an introduction to Windows, Linux and PowerShell

Tools and technologies learned: Learners will learn to use Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows 10, AWS, Linux, PowerShell.

90% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
