EPOS Support Technician Apprentice

ASG Epos Solutions Limited are looking for their next EPOS Support Technician Apprentice to join their growing team.

Role

Responsibilities:

Working alongside a current support technician you will;

  • Unpack and configure EPOS Terminal hardware and connect peripherals
  • Configure OS and install relevant OS Updates and drivers
  • Setup Active hours for Update installation
  • Install remote support software application and configure
  • Install Standard POS Application
  • Install correct template for Market Sector
  • Configure firewall settings
  • Connect terminal to customers cloud based back-office account
  • Data entry of customers products
  • Install and configure EFT application software
  • Once a sufficient level of competence and experience has been achieved you will be required to attend a training course on the Isle of Wight for 3 days to be certified as a competent support technician for the POS software

As the role develops you will also be responsible for tasks as below.

  • First line telephone and remote support
  • Occasional on-site visits alongside and installation technician to assist with network infrastructure installation.
  • Setup and configuration via online portal of UniFi Wi-Fi Access points
  • Assist on-site with Wi-Fi access point installation.
  • Configure CCTV systems for remote access.
  • Assist on-site with CCTV installation (cabling camera mounting configuration etc.).
