We are currently recruiting to a Community Adult Learning Disability Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Waltham Forest Community Learning Disabilities Team. The main team base is at 30 Coleridge Road, Walthamstow, E17 0QH. This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible.

You will join 0.5wte consultant, 1wte Specialty Doctor, 0.4wte trainee doctor, within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

Job responsibilities

You will be expected to:

Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adult people with mental health needs, across Waltham Forest.

Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team

Work directly with adults and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals

Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:50, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement (pro-rata).

Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative

Work alongside 0.5wte consultant, 1wte Specialty Doctor, 0.4wte trainee doctor

Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
