The role of Assistant IT Trainer at Northumbria is integral to the organisation's mission of providing high-quality health and social care services through effective digital solutions. Your main responsibilities revolve around assisting in the delivery of comprehensive training programs for IT projects, including desktop applications, ICDL, and Clinical Systems. From small group sessions to large-scale presentations, you'll support in engaging with staff across departments, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Duties also involve supporting the development of training materials, assessing learning outcomes, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. As a compassionate and inclusive team member, you'll assist in supporting staff through training and providing flexible assistance to community healthcare teams, acute trusts, and external customers.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide high-quality training for IT training projects.
  • Assist in delivering training in the use of desktop applications, European Computer Driving License, and clinical systems.
  • Participate in educating all Client organization staff on IM&T through various channels.
  • Support small group and one-to-one training delivery and provide user support for new and existing IT systems.
  • Facilitate large group training sessions.
  • Assist in the development of MS Office, ECDL, Internet Training, and Clinical system training.
  • Assess and evaluate learning and training effectiveness.
  • Aid in educating Client staff regarding Email and Internet security, Data Protection, and primary clinical systems.
  • Assist with designing and developing online training materials.
  • Produce high-standard training materials within specified deadlines while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Create documentation using various software packages.
  • Maintain training documents in an organized manner.
  • Ensure smooth administration of training projects and coordinate related activities proactively.
  • Deliver training in alignment with the IT Skills Pathway to meet NHS targets.
  • Provide flexible support to staff undergoing training in various healthcare settings.
  • Offer Go Live "HyperCare" and Floorwalking coverage during implementation phases.

Duties for this role include: To provide a high quality training for IT training projects Provide the delivery of training in the use of all desktop applications European Computer Driving License and clinical systems. Commitment to Continuing Professional Development of both yourself and others Assist the IT Training Team in the Delivery and Development of MS Office, ECDL, Internet Training and Clinical system training. Assessment and evaluation of learning and training Assist the IT Training Team in the education of Client staff regarding Email and Internet security and Data Protection, as well as primary clinical systems. Assist with /produce, Design and Development of Online based Training materials for use by all Trust staff. Producing training materials that are of a high standard ensuring deadlines are met and that confidentiality is maintained. Producing documentation using Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Database, presentation graphics and other packages as appropriate including letters, memos, reports, training materials and statistical information. Maintain training documents in a structured and retrievable manner Ensure the smooth administration of training projects enabling delivery on time Proactively co-ordinate activities relating to training projects To demonstrate Trust core values and behaviors Deliver training in line with IT Skills Pathway to meet NHS targets. In delivering training develop the confidence of learners and provide each learner opportunities for achievement and progression, whilst ensuring that the project timetables are adhered to. To provide flexible support to staff undergoing training within the primary and community healthcare teams, acute trusts and external customers. Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Qualification or significant experience of using the Microsoft Office suite
  • European Computer Driving License Qualification
  • ECDL qualification or equivalent experience/ knowledge.
Desirable
  • Level 5 Post 16 teacher Training Sector qualification.
