Apprentice Estimator (QS)
Role
• Adhering to The Casey Group’s purpose, values, policies and procedures;
• Supporting the Estimating Team with sub-contractor and materials quote requests.
• Assisting in carrying out site visits to determine nature of works
• Updating tenders with quotations received from sub-contractors and suppliers
• Keep detailed records and maintaining well-organised work schedules.
• Arrange and prepare commercial documents for tender handover meetings.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for clients.
• Monitor actual costs versus estimated costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Tender analysis and cost recommendations;
• Acquiring quantities from working construction drawings;
• Providing assistance and advice to project teams on financial, and commercial matters;
• Participation in tender launch, mid tender and tender settlement meetings;
• Managing correspondence promptly and professionally;
• Interacting with construction team and quantity surveyors, ensuring good communication links are maintained.
• Proactively seek opportunities to enhance and drive personal and professional development;
Training
You will work towards your Level 4 apprenticeship as a Quantity Surveying Technician. Once this is gained you will then be given the opportunity to move onto the degree pathway.
The following qualification will be gained:
A Level 4 qualification in Construction and Built Environment that meets the knowledge requirements of the standard and is approved by the industry’s recognised professional bodies meeting the educational requirements for Technician status or the equivalent level of membership.

Once this qualification has been completed , there will be the opportunity to progress onto the degree pathway.
