Youwillcollaboratewithcrossfunctionalteamstoarchitect,develop,anddeliverrobustbackendservicesandAPIsforenterprise-levelclients.Theidealcontractorwillbeproactive,adaptable,andcomfortableworkingwithinevolvingprojectscopesandagencyworkflows. KeyResponsibilities Develop,maintain,andoptimisebackendservicesusing Node.js and NestJS . Workdirectlywithclientstakeholderstogatherrequirements,presentsolutions,andprovidetechnicalguidance. Architectscalable,maintainablebackendsystemsalignedwithbestpractices. CollaboratewithinternalUX,frontend,strategy,anddeliveryteamstoensuresuccessfulprojectexecution. Conductcodereviews,upholdengineeringstandards,andensurehighcodequality. Troubleshootissues,recommendimprovements,andcontributetotechnicaldecision-making. Provideconsultancy-levelinsightonprojectfeasibility,riskmanagement,andsolutiondesign. Deliverdocumentationandhandovermaterialsasrequired. RequiredSkills&Experience 5+yearsexperience … with Node.js engineeringinproductionenvironments. Strongcommercialexperiencewith NestJS (orsimilarstructuredframeworks) Previousworkwithin consultancyordigitalagencyenvironments-Highlydesirable Demonstrated client-facingexperience ,includingpresentingtechnicalapproachesandmanagingexpectations. Solidunderstandingofmodernbackendarchitecture,APIdevelopment,microservices,andintegrationpatterns. Experiencewith TypeScript , RESTfulAPIs ,andideallyGraphQL. StrongunderstandingofCI/CDpipelines,modernDevOpsworkflows,andcloudplatforms(AWS,GCP,orAzure) Familiaritywithtestingframeworks(Jest,etc.) Abilitytoworkindependentlyunderlimitedsupervisioninaremoteenvironment. Excellentcommunicationanddocumentationskills Nice-to-Have Experienceindigitalagency-stylerapiddeliveryenvironments. KnowledgeofcontainerisationtoolssuchasDocker.
