What Youll Do As a Controls Engineer, youll be responsible for the full lifecycle of control system development from initial design to final commissioning for systems such as burner management, flare ignition, and vapour recovery. Control System Programming and Development Design and program PLC, HMI … operation manuals Ensure clarity, traceability, and compliance across all written outputs. Logic, Safety, and Interlocks Develop cause & effect matrices, interlocks, and logic diagrams to ensure safe and efficient control system behaviour. Participate in HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL studies and implement control strategies in line with safety integrity level (SIL) requirements. Testing and Commissioning Support system testing at every phase including FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), and on-site commissioning. Troubleshoot control logic, communication errors, and field device integration both in-office and in the field.
