People & Change Programme Manager

People & Change Programme Manager – 9 Month FTC

Location: Manchester

The role

We’re looking for a People & Change Programme Manager to step into an established role, supporting a range of ongoing organisational and people initiatives, reporting into the CPO.

This is not a traditional HRBP role — it’s a hands-on, delivery-focused position where you’ll lead and execute key programmes across organisational design, change, and ways of working.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure initiatives are delivered effectively, with strong employee experience and minimal disruption to the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead delivery of ongoing people and organisational change programmes
  • Support and implement organisational design and structure changes
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives impacting people, operations, and ways of working
  • Own programme planning, timelines, governance, and risk management
  • Translate business priorities into clear, executable people plans
  • Partner with senior leaders to ensure smooth implementation of change
  • Ensure strong communication and engagement throughout programme delivery
  • Coordinate across HR, operations, and business teams to keep delivery on track

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience delivering people or business transformation programmes
  • Strong programme/project management capability — you’ve led delivery end-to-end
  • Strong data and presentation skills. Comfortable modelling, tracking and reporting on people data and costs
  • Proven expertise in organisational design (OD) and implementing change
  • Exposure to workplace, location, or ways-of-working transitions
  • Ability to operate effectively in a lean, fast-paced consumer services/tech environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to Executive level
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • Calm, confident approach with high change resilience
  • A clear execution mindset — able to drive outcomes, not just plans
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and experience of TUPE

Nice to have

  • Experience working through post-restructure or evolving operating models
  • Familiarity with implementing new HRIS systems

Why this role

  • Opportunity to deliver high-impact, visible programmes
  • Work closely with senior leadership on key priorities
  • Autonomy to shape and drive delivery in a lean environment

Immediate impact in a role where execution really matters
